Installation of durAnode3 vertical

Installation of durAnode3 standard and durAnode3 vertical is easy, safe and needs no heavy tools.

1. The rebars are located. Often a normal cheap cover meter is sufficient, but in case of packed steel or steel with large cover radar and similar might be necessary. The position of the rebars are marked on the surface.
2. The anodes are placed with as much distance to the rebars as possible. If the feeder wire shall be hidden in a slot. A ø12mm hole is drilled. Depth shall be active length of anode + 40mm.
3. After cleaning the hole it is checked for close rebars using a durAbar.
4. To a depth of 4 cm the diameter of usable holes is increased to 25mm.
5. An especial cementious grout is used to embed the anodes. The grout is easily mixed with small equipment.
6. The grout is fluid like cream and can easily be sucked up in a 100ml syringe
7. and injected in to the hole.
8. A number of a anodes are connected to a common feeder cable. This is made of a ø1.2mm Titanium wire coated with a strong orange polypropylene coating.
9. The connection between feeder wire and anode is simple mechanical connection which is established using a special screw driver and key.
10. The first two anodes are installed and after a week of hardening they are ready to be energised.
